You Will:
Lead high impact projects that span across multiple teams.
Mentor and train other team members.
With half your time, you'll partner deeply with Software engineering teams to deeply understand their process and automation needs.
With the other half of your time, you'll design, build, automate and improve processes to improve engineering workflows and tools of all kinds. SRE at Luobu (Roblox China) are not operations engineers; they are software engineers who code within the platform and tooling feature sets.
Play an essential part in our company-wide SRE community, sitting together with your SRE partners and supporting their work and growth, similarly to how you support your partner teams.
Participate as a peer with your Software Engineering partners in the on-call rotation for services that your partner team oversees.
Champion best practices and a data driven approach.

You Have:
Great Partnership: You know that partnering and good communication leads to the best and broadest impact, so you seek to have no silo walls in your work.
Experience: you have a BS degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or related engineering field with at least 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in SRE/DevOps and 2 years in Software Engineering teams.
Systems Engineering: you have experience building, and deploying distributed services in container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes) and are excited to work with them at a global scale.
Programming: you have experience writing common systems programming languages. C# and Golang is preferred.
Organization and Planning: you're excited about getting in front of complex problems, organizing your work to balance pragmatism, impact, and best practices; overcoming emergent issues and contributing to long-running projects as a part of the team. Thinking ahead with tasks relating to projects and the bottom line are top priority for you.
